The Rumanian Academy of Sciences decided today to launch a drive for funds to publish the works of the late Prof. Heiman Titkin, noted Jewish author and philologist.
The action was taken at a memorial meeting during which tribute was paid to his memory by Prof. Radulescu Matru, president of the Academy; Dr. Ion Nistor, Minister of Labor, and Prof. Jorga.
Prof. Titkin was author of a Rumanian grammar manual, and a Rumanian-German lexicon in three volumes.
