Russian police charged an anti-Semitic group with inciting hatred during a pro-Taliban demonstration in September. The charges, recently brought by police in the city of Saratov, are unprecedented there, according to the Union of Councils for Jews in the Former Soviet Union. The extremists had gathered in a local park Sept. 25 to support the Taliban.
