Simon D. Silverman, 62, associate cantor of the Agudath Achim Congregation which he had served for twenty-three years, was struck by an automobile and injured fatally last night.

A native of Slonen, Russia, he had served congregations in Canada, Newburgh and Utica, N. Y., #eriden, Conn., Trenton, N. J., and ##ston, Mass.

Among the survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Herman Halperin, wife of a Pittsburgh rabbi; a son, Rabbi Morris Silverman of Hartford, Conn., and two brothers, Rabbi Jacob Silverman of Detroit, and Samuel Silverman of Roches-###, N. Y.
