The 10,00-ton Israel-American line ship S.S. Elath–formerly the S.S. Vergray–sailed for New York from here last night on her maiden voyage under the Israeli flag. The vessel, commanded by Captain Eliezer Chodorov, will make regular cargo runs between Haifa and the United States. She was turned over to the Israel-American line last week.
