Samuel Hyman Named Executive Director of Joint Defense Appeal

Samuel L. Hyman has been named national executive director of the Joint Defense Appeal, it was announced this week-end by Irving M. Engel, president of the American Jewish Committee, and Henry Edward Schultz, national chairman of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, Mr. Hyman, who served as director of the JDA Welfare Fund, succeeds the late Victor Larner. The JDA is the fund-raising arm of the AJC and the ADL.
