Peter Gluckmann, 27-year-old San Francisco jeweler, who set out from the West Coast in a single-engine plane with a 28-foot wing-spread, to visit his parents in London, landed at Renfrew Airport in Scotland after crossing the Atlantic in the smallest plane ever to make the flight. Mr. Gluckmann, who left Germany as a refugee from the Nazis, flew by way of Detroit, Ottawa, Goose Bay, Greenland and Iceland, spending in all, 85 hours in the air.
