Saperstein Appointed Chief of Division in Securities Commission

David Saperstein, well known lawyer of this city, yesterday was named chief of the stock market trading division of the newly created Securities and Exchange Commission. The appointment was made by Joseph P. Kennedy, chairman of the commission.

Saperstein was chief investigator for Ferdinand Pecora in the recent Senate banking investigation. A member of the firm of Platoff, Saperstein and Platoff, he has been practicing for a number of years. His father is North Hudson manager for the Prudential Life Insurance Co.
