Schleswig-holstein Cancels Pension of Former Hitler Aide

The Government of the State of Schleswig-Holstein has cancelled the pension it has been paying to Dr. Franz Schlegelberger. former Deputy Minister of Justice in the Hitler regime, the Finance Minister. Dr. Schaefer announced today.

Schlegelberger had been receiving a pension of more than 2,010 marks (about $500) monthly. The State Government acted when it was established that Schlegelberger was not eligible to pension because he had committed crimes against humanity.

One of the charges that had been made against him was that he illegally transferred a Jew serving a term of imprisonment to the Gestapo for execution.
