Lippman Lipshitz, 27-year-old immigrant from Lithuania, died today of head injuries received Saturday in demonstrations at Haifa against the new ordinance restricting Jewish land purchase in Palestine. He is the second victim of the violence following announcement of the land act.
An official communique stated that further Jewish demonstrations occurred early yesterday afternoon in Haifa and the suburb of Hadar Hacarmel. Police dispersed the Jews after a Jewish constable had been seriously wounded.
