Agitation with a view to confiscating the Great Synagogue of Moscow for a workers’ club was started by the “Robotchaya Moskva.”

The newspaper published an article by a Jewish worker, Kontorovitch, who complains that the Jewish workers’ clubs in Moscow are inadequate. During Passover, the clubs could not accommodate all those who wanted to attend the anti-religious gatherings.

Several previous attempts to confiscate the synagogue have been made without success. The Jewish community in Moscow expects that this attempt will also fail.
