Seek Marshall’s Aid for Russian Orthodox Jews

Louis Marshall, president of the American Jewish Committee, will be asked to aid in securing help for Orthodox Jews in Russia.

Rabbi Grodsenski of Vilna has been invited by the Lubavitcher Rebbe to participate in a conference with Mr. Marshall in Paris, with the aim of securing aid.

The graduation exercises of the Talmudical Academy High School department of the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and Yeshiva College were held on Sunday at the Kehilath Yeshurun Synagogue, New York City. Sixty-four diplomas were awarded to this year’s graduates. Several of the graduates are winners of State and other scholarships.

About thirty members of the graduating class will be among the first students in the new Yeshiva College, recently chartered by the State University, which will open in the fall.

The opening prayer was made by Rabbi C. Bloch of Jersey City. Dr. S. R. Safir, principal of the Academy, awarded the diplomas and Dr. B. Revel, president of the Yeshiva and the Yeshiva College Faculty, ad dresesd the graduates.
