Minister of Economics Oskar Schnake said yesterday that anti-Semitism in Chile was an artificial product aimed at undermining the Popular Front Government. He expressed the hope that forthcoming immigration legislation would solve the problem of refugee entry into Chile.
Schnake made his statement to a delegation of the Poale-Zion, including Dr. S. Yuris, a delegate from from Palestine, during a one -hour audience. He expressed enthusiasm over the accomplishments of Jewish cooperatives in Palestine and said the Chilean Government supported the Palestine Jewish homeland.
