Niram settlement, located near the Gaza Strip border, marked a dual tragedy as memorial services were held for two brothers, members of the settlement. The elder, Amos Schwartz, was killed in action last month while leading his platoon of paratroopers attacking the Egyptian stronghold of Rafah. Oded, 18, was laid to rest today. He was killed by a mine yesterday while operating a settlement tractor. The mine was believed to have been placed by infiltrators before last month’s war.
