Seventh Generation Rabbi Volunteers to Become Chaplain in U.S. Air Force

A seventh generation rabbi, Michell D. Geller of Houston, Texas, today became the first Jewish chaplain to be inducted into the armed forces under the self-imposed draft system of the Rabbinic Alumni of Yeshiva University. The 25-year-old rabbi was sworn in as an Air Force Chaplain First Lieutenant in sermonizes at the University here.
