Several U.S. universities are recruiting Jewish students in an effort to increase their academic rankings, according to the Wall Street Journal. “Jewish students, by culture and ability and by the very nature of their liveliness, make a university a much more habitable place in terms of intellectual life,” Vanderbilt University’s president, who is Mormon, told the newspaper.
