Moshe Sharett, former Premier and Foreign Minister of Israel, addressed a huge meeting at the Jewish Sport Center here marking the launching of the United Israel Appeal campaign for 1960. He was honored at a banquet arranged for him jointly by the Zionist Federation of Mexico and the Keren Hayesod.
Mr. Sharett will address a special meeting of the Permanent Committee of the Mexican Parliament. Speaking at a press conference, he stressed that Israel is interested in peace and progress not only for itself but also for all countries in the Middle East. During his ten-day stay in this country, Mr. Sharett will be received by Foreign Minister Manuel Tello.
