Shipment of 3,500 Tons of Food for Jews in Famine Areas Arrives in Rumanian Port

An American vessel with a cargo of 3,500 tons of ?ed has arrived in the port of Constanza. It will be handed over to the Rumanian ?nch of the Joint Distribution Committee for the use of Jews in the famine areas of the country.

Part of the shipment will be turned over to the Rumanian Government for non-Jews in the drought-stricken areas of Moldavia and elsewhere. Dr. Joseph Schwartz, European director of the J.D.C., recently promised the food to the government when he conferred with high officials on the food situation.
