Captain W. F. Strickland, Conservative, again raised the question of the tremendous shortage of labor in Palestine in the House of Commons today.

Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister, British Secretary of State for Colonies who answered for the government, for the first time admitted that there is a shortage of labor, adding that the Palestine government had granted permission for 500 skilled building trades workers to enter the country in addition to the usual number of Jewish immigrants on the regular quota.
