In a message to the 23rd annual convention of Histadruth Ivrith, organization of Hebrew educators and writers in America, which opened here last night, Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, president of the Zionist Organization of America, declared that the United States is now the second most important center of Jewish cultural life in the world.
He lauded the organization for its important contributions toward the survival and enhancement of Jewish culture in this country. Several hundred delegates and guests attended the opening session.
