Six Palestinians held in a Jericho jail under British and U.S. supervision are being given more lenient treatment than Israel had expected them to receive, according to the head of the Shin Bet domestic security service, Avi Dichter. Fuad Shubaki, who had helped arrange the Karine-A arms shipment intercepted by Israel in January, and five Palestinians suspected of killing Israeli Tourism Minister Rehavam Ze’evi are not being held in isolation and are receiving unlimited visitors, Dichter charged.
