The 31st annual convention of the National Conference of Jewish Social Welfare concluded today with the election of Dr. John Slawson of New York as president. Dr. Slawson executive director of the Jewish Board of Guardians, succeeds in the presidency Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, director of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Philanthropic Societies.
