Several windows were shattered last night in an explosion that rocked Temple Beth El, which was a target of swastika. vandals last month. Synagogue officials said that a “small explosion” had been set off on a window sill, resulting in little damage to the building other than the broken windows.

On January 8, a Nazi swastika painted on an old window shade was raised in front of the temple, but, at the request of temple officials, the police did not make the incident public. Bits of glass from last night’s explosion have been sent to a police laboratory for investigation.
