Charging that the British Government is afraid to have the question of Palestine raised in its own country, Prof. Johan Smertenko, vice-president of the American League for a Free Palestine, who last week was deported from England, today told a press conference that “my exclusion is an expression of weakness on the part of the British Government.” He revealed that he will go to Washington shortly to file a protest against his deportation with the State Department. He said that the organization plans to send several of its representatives to London to present its viewpoint.
