Attorney General Herbert Brownell, Jr., last night lauded Solicitor General Simon E. Sobeloff at a B’nai B’rith board of governors dinner in Mr. Sobeloff’s honor.
Mr. Brownell put the Administration’s weight behind President Eisenhower’s nomination of the Jewish jurist as judge of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Sobeloff was nominated for the post earlier this year, but his confirmation was blocked in the Senate by Southern Senators.
