The Ocean Beach Club in Elberon, N. J., held a dinner dance last Saturday night. A wooden dance floor had been set up, and tables were grouped around it on the lawn. Lights played over the swimming pool and the entire scene was particularly attractive.
Among those who were seen on the dance floor or in the bar were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Leeds, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Grumbach, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Forsch, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Benjamin, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Conried, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bookman, Mr. and Mrs. James Goldsmith, Mr. and Mrs. Melville Lowenstein, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Gimbel, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Nathans, Mr. and Mrs. George Rosenfeld, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Deitsch, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Saks, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gimbel, Mr. and Mrs. Louis B. Froelich.

Jesse Straus, American Ambassador to France, returned to New York with Mrs. Straus on Tuesday, on the lie de France of the French Line. They will pass the summer at their country home near Mount Kisco.
Mr. and Mrs. Percy S. Straus also returned on the lie de France. Mr. Straus is president of R. H. Macy and Company, and brother of the Ambassador.
Among those who sailed on the S. S. Rotterdam on July 4 were Mr. and Mrs. A. Koshland and Dr. and Mrs. Richard Lewisohn with their two children.
Margaret Dannenbaum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Dannenbaum of Oak Lane, Philadelphia, was married on Monday afternoon to Mr. Robert Wolf, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Wolf, also of Philadelphia. The ceremony, which was attended by a small group of relatives and close friends, took place in the garden of the bride’s home.
The bride wore a gown of white organdie and a tulle veil. She was attended by her sisters, Mrs. Edgar Rossin and Miss Susan Dannenbaum. They wore gowns of white organdie and carried field flowers.
The groom had his brother as best man. There were no ushers.
After the ceremony a reception was held. Mr. Wolf and his bride plan to reside in Philadelphia after a wedding trip.
Mr. Adolph Lewisohn has moved from his home at Ardsley to Elberon, N. J., where he usually spends the month of July. Later Mr. Lewisohn will attend the Saratoga races with a large party, and then finish the summer at his camp at Saranac. With Mr. Lewisohn in Elberon now are Mr. and Mrs. Sam A. Lewisohn, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Staunton Mack Jr. , Mrs. Hans Kaltenborn and Mr. and Mrs. Bertram Fox. Mr. Lewisohn gave a dinner on the evening of the Fourth. Besides his house guests Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Asiel and Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Guggenheimer attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Max L. Kaufman are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Walter S. Mack in Allenhurst, N. J.
Mrs. Max J. Rossbach and her daughter, Miss June Rossbach, are sailing for Europe on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. George Backer announce the birth of a daughter, Sarah Ann, at Doctor’s Hospital on June 22. Mrs. Backer is the former Miss Dorothy Schiff, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mortimer J. Schiff.
