Impressive V-E day services were held here last night in the Rothschild Synagogue with Grand Rabbi Julian Weil officiating. Many civil and military dignitaries attended, with Rene Mayer, Minister of Public Works, representing the French Government.

The Rome radio reported today that a thanksgiving service was held in the Great Synagogue last night. Jewish soldiers of the Allied and Italian armies attended.
