About 100 Jewish youths demonstrated yesterday near the Soviet Embassy, demanding that the Soviet government allow Russian Jews to emigrate to Israel. Police armed with rifles kept the demonstrators away from the Embassy premises. The occasion was the 18th anniversary of the liquidation of 24 Soviet Jewish writers and intellectuals by the Stalin regime. That anniversary was also observed at a rally held by the Delegation de Associaciones Israelitas Argentinas (DAIA), the central representative body of Argentine Jewry, at a local theater.
