The national executive of the South African Labor Party today cabled Prime Minister Clement Attlee urging their “Socialist comrades” to admit 100,000 Jews to Palestine.
The message protested against the “proposal for partition as a solution of the problem,” and urged the British Government to return to “its pre-election policy of providing for the establishment of Palestine as a Jewish national homeland.” A copy of the cable was sent to Prime Minister Smuts.
