The Government’s Publications Control Board is considering a possible ban against a book, “The Pattern of Assassination,” issued here by a publishing group called rightwing, anti-Semitic and a propaganda arm of the Arab League. The book purports that there was a “Zionist plot” in the assassinations of both U.S. President Kennedy and South African Premier Verwoerd.

A report to the Publications Control Board stated that “the book is regarded as so libelous that the Special Branch is looking into its contents.” The Special Branch is the South African equivalent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the United States.
