A manifesto urging the Jewish population of South Africa to rally to the recruitment call issued by Field Marshal Smuts has been published here by the South African Jewish Board of Deputies.
The manifesto draws attention to the exploits of Jewish troops in the Abyssinian and Libyan campaigns who brought honor to the Jewish community, and expresses the hope that the new recruiting effort will not fall behind expectations.
