The Council for Soviet Jewry has launched a letter writing campaign to Congressmen urging them to take a positive stand on Soviet Jewry. More than 250 letters have already been signed and the campaign is to continue through next week culminating in a community rally on behalf of Russian Jews. Several days ago more than 600 persons participated in the celebration of Israel’s 23rd anniversary. Songs of hope and dances of freedom set the mood of the celebration and a spirit of brotherhood prevailed.
