The Soviet Union will continue to support the Arab states in their “struggle for freedom and independence, “Soviet Union Premier Marshal Nikolai Bulganin stated last night, according to a report received here.
In a speech at a Kremlin meeting honoring an Albanian visiting delegation, the Premier said that the “enemies of peace” were still carrying on “intrigues” in the Middle East, and “imperialists” are still attempting to “sharpen tension between Israel and the Arab states.” He pledged that the USSR would watch the situation in the Middle East alertly.
