Soviet Union Permits Eighteen Jews to Immigrate to Israel

The Soviet Union has granted exit visas to 18 Jews who have families in Israel, the Jewish Agency announced here today. The 18, most of whom are from Kovno, are expected here shortly.

Meanwhile, an immigrant who just arrived in Israel from Shanghai, reported today that some 200 Jews–former residents of Germany, Russia and other Chinese cities–are eager to emigrate to Israel.
