The Spanish Minister of information and Tourism stated to the American Jewish Committee that his government will soon pass a statute guaranteeing fuller freedom of religious practice for all denominations in Spain. Manuel Fraga Iribarne, the Spanish cabinet officer, met here this week with Morris B. Abram, president of the Committee, and other Committee officers to discuss human relations matters particularly regarding the situation of Jews in Spain and questions of religious liberty.
