A new four-story school and community house of Congregation Shearith Israel, descendant congregation of the first synagogue founded in America, was dedicated here yesterday in connection with the American Jewish Tercentenary. A special exhibit of historical documents, photographs and religious objects tied to the history of American Jewry was opened in the building immediately after its dedication.
