Springfield Rabbi Appointed Jewish Religious Advisor to U.S. Military Govt. in Germany

The appointment of Rabbi Isaac Klein, of Springfield, Mass., as Jewish religious advisor to the American Military Government in Germany was announced today by Dr. Robert Gordis, president of the Synagogue Council of America. Rabbi Klein has been granted a leave of absence from his congregation and will bear the simulated rank of Brigadier General. He will help in the religious and cultural reestablishment of permanent Jewish communities in Germany.
