Spurns Suggestion to Model Kosher Bill on U.S. Laws

A suggestion that Poland adopt American methods of regulating kosher slaughtering, made to a Sejm committee framing an amendment to the anti-shechita bill, received a sharp rebuff at the hands of the chairman.

Replying to the suggestion by the Jewish deputy, Rabbi Isaac Rubenstein, the chairman said:

“Poland does not care about American laws.”
