STATE DEPARTMENT REFUSES TO COMMENT ON NEGEV ATTACK
A State Department official spokesman said that the Department has nothing to say at this time about yesterday’s Arab ambush of an Israel bus which resulted in 11 deaths.
Henry Suydam, chief press officer, told correspondents that Israel Minister Reuven Shiloah called at the Department yesterday with respect to the bus incident. The Department, said Mr. Suydam, was alerted by Mr. Shiloah to the possibility that the Israel Minister would return to discuss the matter at greater length when more facts become available.
