No action will be taken by the State Department of the United States Government concerning the complaint submitted to it with regard to the treatment of the Jewish population in Roumania by a delegation of the American Jewish Congress, headed by Dr. Stephen S. Wise. The incident is considered closed, according to information given by the Department in reply to repeated inquiries by the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here.

Since the delegation called on the State Department. it was understood that the Department requested Mr. William S. Culbertson to submit a report concerning the condition of the Jewish population in Roumania. In view of the present information it appears that this has never materialized.
