The Polish Government’s order calling for the expulsion by March first of all foreigners who settled there after October 1920, has been stayed as a result of the intervention by the National Council of Polish Jews and other Jewish organizations. The refugees, a majority of whom are Jews from Russia and Poland, are permitted to remain until July 1. During this time it is hoped to secure for the majority of the refugees passport and travel facilities to countries abroad.
