April 5, 1934
See Original Daily Bulletin From This Date

In the town of Beverungen in Westphalia all the windows and doors of the local synagogue were smashed. Police said that the perpetrators were members of the local storm troop sport school.

Attacks on synagogues and other distinctly Jewish institutions have been very common under the Hitler regime. Practically every week a number of such attacks are recorded. The perpetrators are seldom caught and even more infrequently punished.
