Sweden’s prime minister denied Israeli accusations that his country tolerates anti-Semitism. In an interview aired Wednesday, Goran Persson said his country must fight both anti-Semitism and Islamaphobia. Persson said that while he supports Israel’s right to exist, “the State of Israel has a government worth criticizing, and that criticism we will deliver.”
