A magistrate’s court sentenced Pierre Hansen to six months in jail for smearing the Jewish Martyrs Memorial in front of the Geneva Great Synagogue.

Hansen admitted his guilt after police tracked him to his home in which they found press clippings about the smearings. Hansen did not at any time since his arrest deny he was anti-Semitic.
