The Hollywood-produced film, “Sword in the Desert,” which depicts the struggle of Palestine’s Jews against the British Mandatory Power, has won critical acclaim here and has been popular with movie audiences during the two weeks it has been shown. The film, which was banned in England and other countries because of its allegedly anti-British character, was permitted to be exhibited in Turkey by the authorities.
