Syria blasted Israel for allegedly expanding settlements in the Golan Heights. In a letter to the Security Council, which the council then made official by circulating this week on its stationery, Syria accused Israel of authorizing nine new settlements and expanding existing settlements in the “occupied Syrian Golan.”
