Syria denounced Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s proposal for a new Arab-Israeli peace conference. Al-Ba’ath newspaper, run by Syria’s ruling party, on Tuesday called the proposal a “dirty maneuver that is totally rejected.”
