Syria is warning that Israel will pay if the United States attacks Damascus. Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa said Monday that Israel is behind increasing American pressure on Syria in recent days over Syrian support for Iraq in the current U.S.-led war, but he doesn’t believe the United States will attack Syria.
