Syria Rejects Commercial Treaty with Belgium Because Latter Supported Partition

The Syrian Government has refused to conclude a commercial agreement with Belgium in accordance with the Arab League’s decision to boycott any country which voted for partition at the U.N., a Damascus report says.

Meanwhile, it is known that the economic, position of the Arab countries has worsened as a result of the fact that they can no longer sell their products to the Jewish community of Palestine. Negotiations have begun among several Arab states aimed at finding markets among themselves for each other’s products.
