Tamar Eshel. Secretary General of Moetzet Hapoalot in Israel, was elected Sunday as vice-president of the International Council of Women at the Council’s conference here, despite strong Arab opposition. She was one of six other women who were elected as vice-president. Two other Israeli women were also appointed to official posts by the conference. Penina Herzog was appointed chairperson of the Health Committee and Aliza Ben Arzi vice-chair-person of the Committee on Law and Suffrage.
