Nazi-financed propaganda campaigns in Spain and Spanish Morocco are being strongly felt by the Jewish communities. While here in Spain the Hitlerite propaganda has resulted only in attacks on Jews in the press, in Tangiers it has assumed the form of periodically-recurring physical violence. Arabs usually are the instigators of these attacks against members of the Jewish community.

All this has prompted the Jewish community in Tangiers to publish a statement yesterday in which it was said that “strange elements are making efforts to provoke quarrels between Moslems and Jews.” The Jewish community begged the Jewish population in Tangiers to ignore all provocations, which, it was said, were aimed solely to spoil the existing pleasant relations.
